Allyn Ransom is a collector of trivia and information, public speaker, poet, author of a family history spanning (according to tradition) all of human history (it’s a long story,) and an amateur photographer.
While in college, she read an overview that described the heroic fantasy as a story in which a hero returns to the place where the story began, having changed in ways that the place did not.

In the course of her life, she has returned to her home, to two different employers, two church denominations, and, for the past four years, she’s traveled in circles between homes in Pennsylvania and Florida in a domestic heroic quest to care for her father.
When she decided to return to her dream of writing, it seemed only natural that she return to the genre that spawned the dream. She has been a library clerk, an administrative assistant, a teacher, a public speaker, a genealogist, a glorified stock clerk, and a purveyor of pretty stones, of the sort one wears, and a private caregiver.
