Growing up in a working-class family in the north London suburb of Highbury, Levy faced the challenges of being a black child in a predominantly white society.
Despite struggling with dyslexia, Levy&#;s parents encouraged her to read and she found solace in the arts, particularly at the Highbury Youth Theatre.
As a teenager, Levy was drawn to the arts and spent much of her time at the Highbury Youth Theatre.
She also developed a passion for music, particularly reggae and ska.
